Background
Amelie Housing, a social housing project at 19-21 Centenary Road, Merrylands, completed by the community housing company of the Trustees of the Society of St Vincent de Paul, NSW.
Merrylands was one site of several across NSW that form part of a larger capital investment being undertaken as part of the Social & Affordable Housing Fund, NSW (SAHF) managed by the Department of Family & Community Services FACS). Gallagher Jeffs acted as the NSW based representative for Affordable Housing Solutions.
Scope of Service
The role of Gallagher Jeffs included the management and coordination of all consultants, ensuring all were in a suitable format for novation under a D&C contract; management of the further design required, preparation of the tender package; procurement of head contractor; manage detailed design coordination and value management, oversee the attainment of permits and various authority approvals, as well as administer the D&C contract for the development.
