BACKGROUND
A Joint use agreement was made between MCC, Elwood College and the Department of Education to replace an unkept area which was covered by school buildings until recently, with a surface that can be used all year round in all conditions for lots more student sport and passive recreation.
SCOPE OF SERVICE
Gallagher Jeffs was appointed to manage the project from concept through to completion. As project manager, on behalf of the client, GJ engaged the consultant team and facilitated the design from concept though to schematic design. Subsequently the design was tendered to specialised D&C hockey ground contractors. Following appointment GJ administered the D&C contract as superintendent.
The project was completed on time and budget. The ground will be used by the MCC Hockey Club, Elwood College and other community organisations.
