Background
The role of the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney involves broad responsibilities in a variety of areas and traditionally the home of the Archbishop has been used for considerable entertaining and for meetings which are a natural function of the Archbishop’s home.
Our brief is to deliver this significant residence for the Archbishop in Glebe, with the core purpose to provide a family residence for successive Archbishops of Sydney, of which future residents will have individual family needs, demographics and requirements, with the property to remain in diocesan ownership and be used for these purposes for between 50 & 100 years. Using construction materials which are both hardy, sustainable and flexible enough to cope with future changes and a design that is classic without dating quickly.
