PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Mentone Girls’ Grammar School opened their new Wellbeing Centre which comprises of:
Aquatic Centre
- An indoor 25m pool;
- Training pool for early years swimmers;
- Disabled access to both pools;
- Gymnasium;
- Shower and change rooms;
- Tiered seating; and
- Reception and Office Spaces.
Multipurpose courts
Adjacent to the Aquatic Centre, three multipurpose courts have been created which provide the school with the ability to provide students with facilities to play Tennis, Netball and Basketball.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Gallagher Jeffs was engaged by Mentone Girls Grammar School to act as Project Manager and Superintendent for the duration of the project. This included the appointment of the consultant team, leading multi-user team workshops, project reporting, preparation and monitoring of the project programme, procure and appoint a Head Contractor, and manage the builder to complete construction.
OUTCOME
While we met with a number of challenges on this project, the client was very appreciative of our assistance and recognised us at their Opening Night.
