Project background
The Australian Red Cross Blood Service collects and processes donations of blood for use in medical treatment across Australia. The ARCBS required a new state of the art facility to house the processing of blood which has to be undertaken in certified PC2 medical laboratories. The building comprises laboratory facilities, office space for 150 staff and blood processing facilities.

Achievements
This complex project was completed in 2011to a satisfied client. The building obtained a Therapeutic Goods Administration Licence by satisfying the extremely high standards required for blood processing facilities. Base building and fit-out contractors successfully completed the building, commissioning and validation roles on time and under budget.
