As part of the school’s master plan developed in 2008, Camberwell Girls Grammar undertook the design and construction of a new middle school building which included the following elements; resource centre, senior study room, environmental science lab, specialist learning areas, general purpose classrooms, staff areas and outdoor learning spaces.
Due to the wide range of services offered by this particular building, Gallagher Jeffs had to engage with stakeholders from within the school as well as externally to ensure that the brief was met.
Gallagher Jeffs was engaged at the end of concept design and managed the design through design development to tender documentation.
Upon appointment of the contractor, Gallagher Jeffs project managed the delivery phase of the project and Superintended the construction contract.
In addition GJC was involved in the procurement and management of several ancillary contracts, including; audio visual, FF&E & loose furniture, feature lighting, fish pond & fish tank, signage & graphics and relocation services for the library move.
