This year, Worksafe Victoria will welcome its new state-of-the-art headquarters in Geelong, Victoria. Developed by Quintessential Equity and managed by Gallagher Jeffs, the revolutionary building was completed in December 2017 with more than 700 employees and contractors set to move in by mid-year.

As part of the $120-million-dollar development, Gallagher Jeffs managed the activities of the consultant team which included award winning architect peckvonhartel and head contractor Built under an ECI arrangement. The design incorporated the ‘Live, Work, Play’ principles, supporting Quintessential Equity’s vision to lead the way in work-life balance. Gallagher Jeffs subsequently supported Quintessential Equity with their WorkSafe negotiations and once the tenant was secured, Gallagher Jeffs managed the project delivery under a Design & Construct model.

The 14-level tower is Australia’s first building to be awarded WELL Precertification, recognising its outstanding health and wellness features. Assessed on its core, shell, interiors, and key factors such as comfort, water, air, nourishment, mind and light, the award cements the building as a world-leading development. Adding to its sustainability is a 5.5 star NABERS Base Building Energy Rating and 6 Star Green Star Rating. Spanning 15,620 square metres, the premier office space is situated in the heart of Geelong with striking views over the CBD, Corio Bay, the Arts Precinct and Johnstone Park. Alongside rooftop recreation areas, barbecues, a sports hub and showers, the space caters for a work-lifestyle balance. Travel has also been considered, with secure on-site parking for 102 cars, 100+ bike racks and electric vehicle charging points.
